Our story

It all began in a garden. As believers, we have always been inspired by the book of Genesis. Our ancestry and faith are founded upon the principles of living simply, eating healthy fruits and vegetables, and knowing that God's wonderful design included surrounding us with the energy (and frequencies) of vibrant plants that not only nourish us, but heal us.

We started out simply - just sharing seeds and our knowledge with friends and family. But as time passed, and we watched the world around us change, we saw producers introduce and promote augmented, manufactured, and unhealthy "foods" while disregarding the common sense of wholesome living.

In 2017, we started selling our seeds in pink Camellia-laced envelopes, and designed our products with a nostalgic charm that reflected the style of our Cottage Garden. We worked to build and grow our network of seed producers and savers because we felt that we were being called to serve a wider community. So we took a step of faith in the Creator, and in the hope that we might serve other like-minded families and help them become more self-sufficient, grow food in their own gardens, and do so even with limited space.

Since our humble beginnings in 2017, Cottage Seed Co. is now established in Wyoming. We remain a family-owned, Christian, small seed and garden supply company based in Cheyenne. Our family seed saving efforts spans several states including Alaska, Arizona, California, Texas, and Wyoming. Nearly all of our seed is self grown, and all our seed is quality controlled under our own strict guidelines. On occasion, we do obtain stock from one of a few select quality growers that we trust and have known for years. In order to keep our seed stock secure, we are not engaged as a seed exchange, and we do not take seed donations.
